Magistrates are a UK band signed to XL Recordings. They remind me of Phoenix’s pop appeal and musicality with Klaxons’ falsetto vocals with Jamie Lidell’s white boy soul vibe and a touch of Maroon 5’s undeniable catchiness. Let’s wait and see what their album has in store for everyone.

JFK x frnkcois

JFK from MSTRKRFT is notorious for making his own edits of his fav tracks of DJ buddies of his that he says are heard all over the world every night. He only gives out his edits to his personal DJ friends. A few days ago he posted this edit of Mr. Oizo’s “Gay Dentists” on the famous MSTRKRFT message board, the first time he publicly is sharing an edit of his own. So everyone enjoy! JFK is releasing his own 12″ “Baby Techno” on Institubes soon and frnkcois is apparently working on the artwork.

Huey Lewis and the News, Billy Joel, R Kelly, Daft Punk and Rick Ross all on one playlist? Only the great and eccentric Gonzales could love and throw in all these artists into one playlist. Gonzales is apparently working with Boys Noize on some original music according to this Boys Noize x YouTellConcerts.com interview so look out for that in the future.

Fairtilizer: Gonzales Interview

Check out this Gonzales TV Interview after the jump, where he discusses the difference between Major and Minor keys and their role in European and North American culture.

“Major chords represent what is wrong with North America, it is a false optimism, a fear of reality and how hard it is.” -Gonzales
