The Mystery Jets are working on their new album down in Austin, Texas in pursuit of that all American rock sound. It is a them fulfilling their musical manifest destiny as they move to the promise land to try to conquer the American musical landscape. They recently released the title single of off Serotonin with a Pink Floyd cover – a song that Pink Floyd composed for Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1970 cult film “Zabriskie Point”.
A fantastic mix by the Mystery Jets boys that opens with 2 of my favorite ELO song and my favorite Todd Rundgren track “I Saw The Light”. This is a great 30 min mix that will kick off your weekend on a good note. Also a little Roxy Music, Genesis, and The Police always does a body good.
If you are in NYC Sept 14 and 15 be sure to catch Mystery jets live at Mercury Lounge. I shall be there!
Mystery Jets return with yet more Pop magic. “Dreaming of Another World” is their first single off of Seratonin an apropos album title for a band that always seems to make me smile. And to accompany this bittersweet tune is this gorgeous music video. Enjoy. POSI-POP!
Mystery Jets first single off of their upcoming pop opus, Brace Yourself is “Dreaming of Another World”. A 70s dream pop tune with a chorus that you have to let wash over you. I love that Pinglewood.com calls Mystery Jets – “Posi-pop” because their music just makes me feel so good about the world.
“It’s time to live out the dreams in your head…”
Apparently Stoner Rock is cool again with acts like Tame Impala making some moves with their fuzzed out psycho-delic Aussie rock. Wooden Shjips steps in and trips out the Mystery Jets’ polished pop sound and takes the tune to another world.
Plus Move has hooked Asian Dan up with an exclusive mix of their favorite songs and a few demo tracks from their upcoming EP entitled Worthy as well as a few of their favorite songs.
