Jamie Lidell returns with his self-titled album on February 19, “What A Shame” is the first we hear of Jamie Lidell’s latest sound. It is a metallic sounding electronic funk RnB track that Jamie says pulls from Mtume, Cameo, New Jack Swing, Bobby Brown and George Clinton but I definitely hear Jamie pulling sonic inspiration from his contemporaries such as Rustie. I am definitely intrigued how Jamie taps back into his electronic roots while still crafting well written and produced songs on this new album.

A megamix of the Thing White Duke care of the Soulwax boys, all accompanied by a 60+ minute film.
France’s Young Gunz latest release by Meesha is a moody RnB tinged release featuring this classic House infused remix by Jean Nipon. It is aptly named the New York Mix as it channels those deep NY club vibes sprinkled with some future club sounds, a definite tune you want to hear on a loud soundsystem.
