Mr. Oizo x JFK

JFK from MSTRKRFT is notorious for making his own edits of his fav tracks of DJ buddies of his that he says are heard all over the world every night. He only gives out his edits to his personal DJ friends. A few days ago he posted this edit of Mr. Oizo’s “Gay Dentists” on the famous MSTRKRFT message board, the first time he publicly is sharing an edit of his own. So everyone enjoy! JFK is releasing his own 12″ “Baby Techno” on Institubes soon and frnkcois is apparently working on the artwork.

Gonzales: Fairtilizer Playlist & Interview
Huey Lewis and the News, Billy Joel, R Kelly, Daft Punk and Rick Ross all on one playlist? Only the great and eccentric Gonzales could love and throw in all these artists into one playlist. Gonzales is apparently working with Boys Noize on some original music according to this Boys Noize x YouTellConcerts.com interview so look out for that in the future.
Fairtilizer: Gonzales Interview
Check out this Gonzales TV Interview after the jump, where he discusses the difference between Major and Minor keys and their role in European and North American culture.
“Major chords represent what is wrong with North America, it is a false optimism, a fear of reality and how hard it is.” -Gonzales
Hey Champ x 80Kidz
Tokyo’s own 80Kidz work their remix magic touch on the already pop perfect track, Cold Dust Girl by Hey Champ. 80Kidz turns the track into a Todd Edwards-esque track including cut up vocals and a smooth synth line that compliments the hook so well.

Panico x Jackson & His Computer Band

Jackson Fourgeaud aka Jackson & His Computer Band returns with a remix of the Chilean band, Panico. This is his first remix since remixing Justice pop hit D.A.N.C.E into an epic pastiche opus. Jackson cuts and mashes this Pancio track into what sounds like Aphex Twin as an 80s metal band. I can’t wait for Jackson & His Computer Band’s next album.

The Beatles – Carnival of Light
“Sir Paul said he was fond of the track, which was inspired by experimental composers John Cage and Karlheinz Stockhausen: “I like it because it’s The Beatles free, going off piste.”
BBC x The Beatles
Vampire Weekend x Chromeo

Chromeo work their remixing skills on Vampire Weekend’s “The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance” to turn it into a dance floor ready track. I remember A-Trak dropping this back in August in Toronto at the Time Festival and everyone goin’ nuts. I love the sequenced bassline and the chorus that sounds so Police “Don’t stand! Don’t Stand! Don’t stand so close to me!”. Tune into the mtvU awards show to see Chromeo and Vampire Weekend performing live together. It has been quite a year for both of these bands.

Justice: I Love Techno 2008 & Galaxy FM

Here are some new live mixes by Justice with their new Ableton setup. Interesting stuff, I think they are still getting a hang of their new setup so the mixing is ok. Any help with the tracklist would be great.

Mayer Hawthorne & The County

A white boy from Detroit? 2008? Only Stone Throw Records could find such a gem of an artist in 2008. This track totally reminds me of the Delfonics. ill.

Cut Copy x Hercules and Love Affair

Thanks to the all mighty Pitchfork for hooking everyone up with this great remix of Cut Copy by Hercules and Love Affair. What a great angular bassline. It totally has a 70s No Wave, ESG/James Chance vibe.
