Ghostface’s new single is a total throwback complete with vocoder backup vocals and drum machines soaked in verb. He samples Zapp & Rogers, “Computer Love”. Maybe P-Thugg from Chromeo is doin backup?
Apparently Ghostface is making a guest appearance on the upcoming MSTRKRFT LP, Fist of God. An epic collaboration due out in early 2009 on Dim Mak Records.
Plus Move just recently released a new EP on 10.28.08 entitled, 2099 on Expansion Team Records. They relocated from Boston to Austin, Texas and are working on some new projects, a time machine sphinx? Let us see what these boys have in store for the electronic world with their American touch.
Here is a new version of Boss off their latest EP:

I was talking to Glenjamn the other day saying that every DJ at Hard Haunted Mansion 2008 should have dressed as Daft Punk, just have a gang of Robots like in Electroma bum rush the stage and confuse everyone. And to answer peoples questions I think DJ Am is mixing edits that he made himself with Serato, so he isn’t just playing the Alive 2007 CD. And to everyone that is hating on him for doing this, c’mon don’t we all want to be Daft Punk and how can he pass up an opportunity to dress up as Daft Punk and play for thousands of people.
I hope everyone had an eventful Halloween and a lovely October. p e a c e Fire crafted this lovely mix for the blog and is a lovely way to close out the month. p e a c e FIRE Myspace

Here is a latest recording of Justice’s DJ sets from Electric Proms this past weekend as they promote A Cross the Universe. Strictly old school house and filter disco. No Bangers!! Except for their own of course. They even drop Daft Punk’s Face to Face and Crescendolls. Check out an interview with them here on the BBC 6 The Queens show, here. Xavier explains that they are done with the live performances after playing over 150 live gigs and that they are DJing now with “a laptop and a few of their small machines”.
Mr. Flash steps into the mainstream hip hop producing world. Quite an interesting and lovely surprise ๐

Late Of the Pier were amazing live. They are quite a bunch of young energetic blokes that really know how to put on a show and the drummer is quite a beast. Bathroom Gurgle and Focker were highlights of their performance. They definitely left quite an impression on America. Stay tuned for a full review of Pete Tong Presents Insiders CMJ 2008 Showcase.
