Annie is back with her Norwegian electropop goodness. Dance hipsters, dance. I can hear this track on repeat at every Urban Outfitters this summer along with the new Passion Pit single, “The Reeling”.

Antoine and Flo from Poney Poney were kind of enough to answer a few questions for Asian Dan. Find out what it was like to work with Xavier and Para One and what some of their favorite tunes are at the moment. Their new EP is out now on Institubes. I can’t wait for their pop drenched album.
1. Who is Poney Poney? How would you describe your music?
Antoine: We’re Antoine and Flo, two gentlemen from Paris. We play modern pop music.
2. What are your biggest influences, musical or otherwise?
A: Good melodies, ostinato, solos and snares that go “pff”.
3. What are your first musical memories?
A: Playing the flute at school then learning “Apache” on the guitar to impress my swedish penfriend. It didn’t work.
Florent : My dad playing piano.
4. As a band what was it like to work with electronic music producers such as Xavier from Justice on “Cross the Fader” and Para One on your latest, soon to be release EP “WHEN DO YOU WANNA STOP WORKING?” ? Did they approach you guys? [Read more]
Just found this on NickyDigital.com, a fantastic track from Montreal producer/DJ, CFCF. It reminds me Tangerine Dream meets Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” minus the vocals. Limited edition 7″ Vinyl out on Acephale Records

In this 9 min documentary, Mr. Oizo lets us into his creative mind. WTF? I love it. Yogurt + Lettuce + Synths = Genius. What a pomo, self-aware artist.
Everything is better in slow motion, too bad not this song. This collab should be so much better. I am excited to hear what The Bloody Beetroots have in store for their album out this summer.
Whenever I listen to Duke Dumont I feel super chilled out or like I am a bunch of pills. I love what Duke Dumont does to this Lily Allen track. Definitely a track you play on the way home after a long night. Duke Dumont’s productions are super visual sounding, very similar to Burial.
