This re-work is featured on Sound Pellegrino’s first label compilation that features more of their talented roster. The additional verse from Todd Edwards adds another layer of #feels to this love tune.

The dynamic duo – Surkin & Bobmo return with a new High Powered Boys track “Highway”. Only the finest in old school vibes from these two French Youngins’.
Jaymo & Andy George dropped a new Surkin tune, “Fan Out” last night on BBC Radio 1’s In New DJ’s We Trust. A dense tune for Surkin, a lot of stuff going on synth and sample wise. The bassline blows me away when it kicks in. Hopefully Twenty Ten is the year of Surkin’s album.

In this 9 min documentary, Mr. Oizo lets us into his creative mind. WTF? I love it. Yogurt + Lettuce + Synths = Genius. What a pomo, self-aware artist.
Surkin somehow mastered and captured the sound of early house music even though he was probably only 10 or so when it was at its peak. I love how he uses Nancy Whang’s vocal sample. I love the string stabs and the piano loop. And of course the fluttering 303 and 808 bleeps.
