Not Classixx A-Game/best prouduction, but I still love them – we need an EP or album with more original music from them, hopefully it is coming soon!

The classic sounding Toronto duo Azari & III crafted a 58 min mix laden with 303 acid basslines for one of my favorite blogs, 20 Jazz Funk Greats.

As we all wait for Hey Champ’s album, we can all enjoy some new remixes from them, including a remix of Passion Pit’s “Little Secrets” which should be out soon and this remix of Chicago’s own lovely female electroduo, Moneypenny. It is a great hi-nrg, 132 bpm, italo-esque tune. I’m a sucker for seuqenced basslines.

AMAZING. The Twelves are masters of Ableton and mashing up in a very tasteful way. I am looking forward to their new EP in the new year.

The Twelves – The Twelfth Hour
What an amazing tune and interesting video. Just saw the band last week @ Mercury Lounge, NYC and was thoroughly impressed by their extended epic versions of their pop tunes. They were like Soulwax meets Sigur Ros.
“I could never figure out how she could slow things down, just a touch…”
“Josephine” is my summer tune of 2009 – a perfect mix of 70s pop perfection a la Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs, Hall & Oates with an undeniable feel good sunny, wind in your hair, easy-breezy vibe. And that guitar solo at the end reminds me of Steely Dan’s “Reelin in the Years”, epic harmonized guitars. Yes, please. Big things coming for Mr. Emil – so all y’all be on he look out.

PS. I love the artwork.
Erol drops Tiga’s remix of Miike Snow “Black and Blue”, Joy Orbision “Hyph Mngo”, and Gonzales’ remix of “Waves”. IS THAT A NEW LATE OF THE PIER TRACK AT THE END?!

A purely cut and paste edit by the amazing Fake Blood of Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” – he only uses existing tracks and samples in the song.
