“Leavin’, produced by Tricky and The-Dream, the team behind Rihanna’s Umbrella, marks a distinct change in direction for Jesse. A hook laden electronic delight, the song sounds at home in the stable of pop while dipping its toes firmly in urban waters. The track is bound to set airwaves alight across the UK and, with mixes by MSTRKRFT, is poised to become the soundtrack to the dance floor this spring.”
I feel this remix more than the original. Timbaland remixing himself, how pomo, if Justice can remix themselves then Timbaland can too. Timbaland gets rid of those annoying horns which makes the track a little darker.
“Motor”: basic, excessive, devastating, the definition of what the Ed Banger crew likes to call a “turbine”. As alarming as an over-heating reactor: a bomb has been deposited on the dance floor.
Sébastien Tellier is releasing his Divine single in May in Europe. Here is one remix from the Midnight Juggernauts, another Franco x Oceanian collaboration. Sébastien Tellier’s fellow frenchman, Danger also remixes this fantastic pop tune into a dark, epic, Danger-esque track, so look out for that. Hopefully Mr. Tellier will win the Eurovision contest. Viva Le France!
