Ah there you are Radiohead. Their initial single to lead the campaign felt a bit underwhelming. Love that Nils Frahm sounding piano with classic Thom Yorke crooning.

Radiohead debuts a new track “Staircase” from their upcoming live From the Basement session. It is quite an afro-beat inspired tune with the unison guitar and bass part over a hypnotic syncopated groove. Sounds quite fat and good – wish “The King of Limbs” was more like this.

Sneaky Radiohead, releasing their album a day before it was supposed to be released. Too bad it wasn’t for free 😉

Thom Yorke channels his Ian Curtis in the video for “Lotus Flower” which is an awkwardly naive yet genuine capturing of Thom’s Muppet like seizuring dance moves. Enjoy!

James Yuill is a British Folktronic musician that shares a deep love for Sufjan Stevens, Nick Drake, Radiohead as well as all the bang-tastic bloghaus producers/DJs, quite an indietastic package. I enjoy his cover of Radiohead’s “Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box”. The first time I heard James Yuill on A-Trak’s Infinity +1 mixtape, the very last track, a re-edit by Prins Thomas of “This Sweet Love”, a very introspective and chill way to end a mix. James Yuill will be opening for the sold out Phoenix showat Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, 4.23.2009 in London.

Radiohead’s performance last night made the Grammys worth something. Radiohead just wants to be Fleetwood Mac, but then again who doesn’t. Where was Ed, Colin & Phil? Also Gwyneth cheating on Chris Martin by presenting Radiohead!? Drama.
