Dubka provides a super slick disco funk remix, Radial turns the song into a big synth pop banger and DVNO transforms “Royal Oats” into a track that sounds like it should be the theme song to John Hughes 90s Ferris Bueller sequel that never came to be. CFCF gets super meta on their remix of LOL Boys’ “Changes” as they sample Bruce Hornsby’s famous piano part that Tupac sampled on “Changes” – so this remix is a remix of a sample of a remix. #SOMETA

Rory Phillips teams up with Martin Dubka to produce this full on boogie jam entitled “Don’t Stop”. It is a full on funk jam that salutes George Duke, Herbie and all the funkmaster greats. Just groove with it.
King Krule is releasing his latest single “Rock Bottom” via Rinse on September 24. “Octopus” is the b-side to the single, a song sounds like it is the theme song for a man that does not get what he wants out of Life and just accepts that he needs to just take it as it comes. It is yet another melancholy anthem from this young talent that hopefully will just pump out more quality music.
Egyptian Hip Hop debuts a second track from their upcoming LP “Good Don’t Sleep” entitled “Yoro Diallo”. It is a more straightforward and accessible tune than their first track “SYH”. Egyptian Hip Hop moves forward into a smooth jazz realm with “Yoro Diallo”, just imagine if Chick Corea jammed with Steely Dan in the late 80s – this would be a product of that session.
Machinedrum takes this unreleased Boards of Canada tack from live bootleg from Warp Records 10th Year Anniversary party in 1999 and beefs up the drums and adds a few synths. He transforms the tune into 11 mins of pure vibes, enjoy.
