Krazy Baldhead: Fairtilizer Influences Mix

Krazy Baldhead crafted this eclectic mix for Fairtilizer that really shows off his musical personality. I love the New Order track he included. The B-Suite is out April 6 on Ed Banger Records.

MIRRORS

Hyperbole always posts such good tracks. Props to that b-log. Mirrors are a band from Brighton, UK that evoke images of late Joy Division especially my favourite track, “Atmosphere” (Amazing video by Anton Corbjin) and early New Order of course. Great synth/mellotron action going on in this track.

New Order – Sooner Than You Think (Live on BBC)

This track reminds me of their darker Joy Division days.

Vicarious Bliss vs. Sébastien Tellier – La Ritournelle (Repirse)

Vicarious Bliss and Sébastien Tellier team up to rework this amazing track that is just so versatile and good. This time the duo turns this song into a track that New Order would approve of. Fantastic Peter Hook-esque bassline. Cheers.

Radiohead & New Order

Radiohead covers Ceremony by New Order!!! This is the most amazing thing ever. This is one of my favorite New Order songs and this soldifies my faith in Radiohead as being the greatest band in the world today. They also covered Bjork’s “Unravel” and The Smiths “The Headmaster Ritual”. Tis a good day.

Cheers and much love.
