Bandit is a young french producer. Pedro “Busy P” Winter playlisted him in Trax Magazine a while ago with his track “Plastic 101”. After a few live shows in Southern France, Bandit returns with a brand new remix of Mr Oizo’s epic track “Stunt”. Bandit is currently working on another remix for Q.G. Yet another slick sounding track from the young gentleman known as Allure. A very chill, sedated yet elegant production, I love the bass samples and the bit crushed synth and filtered out drums. Some parts remind me of Justice’s “Planisphere” which is a favorite track of Allure as stated in my Asian Dan Interview with him.

Who is Miike Snow? There are so many remixes of them by big names such as Crookers and DJ Mehdi and, them remixing the likes of Vampire Weekend and Peter, Bjorn & John. But who is this Miike Snow that appeared out of nowhere. He is not a singular person but a trio of pop music gurus, Swedish musicians Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg formed Miike Snow with American Andrew Wyatt in 2007. Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg who also go by the moniker “Bloodshy & Avant” a Grammy award winning duo most notable for a little tune they wrote for a Miss Britney Spears called “Toxic” as well as working with Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez. Andrew Wyatt is the in house producer at Downtown Records also the front man of Fires of Rome. In my opinion Miike Snow is a more polished and perfected version of Passion Pit, I mean look at their resume as songwriters, they are quite the seasoned musical veterans. I love the album and it definitely will be part of my Summer ’09 Soundtrack.

I love the Crookers remix of this track but this version of “Animal” is part Paul Simon and Peter Gabriel with some indietastic elements of Vampire Weekend. A chilled out summer tune.

I fell in love with this tune after first listen, “Silvia” is a sentimental tearjerker of a tune, perfectly constructed and engineered to move your heart. Miike Snow understands that every great band has to have a song with a girl’s name in it. A salute to “Roxanne”, “Alison”, “Michelle”, and “Peg”.

Alan Braxe strikes back with a new remix of the British band, Fenech-Soler. Beautiful remix, Braxe changes the vibe of the track completely into this slick modern RnB sounding tune, I especially like what he does with the vocals.

Part New Order meets Madonna with a touch of Klaxons and Justin Timberlake. That is what I hear in this track. Pop goodness. Love it.
