This amazing collaboration has finally happened. This is what “The King of Limbs” wanted to be. May tears of joy run down your face…

A proper mix of proper club music care of the High Powered Boys duo. This is some serious House/Garage/UK club music, a perfect direction for electronic/dance music to go. I am a big fan of their latest release “Work/Udon” which is out this Monday in Beatport and on March 28 everywhere else via Sound Pellegrino.
The lovely folks over at NETWORK AWESOME site were kind enough to let me take over their airwaves (bandwidth/wi-fi?) for the day for their “Live Music Show”. I picked some of of my fav live music moments on YouTube as well as some other Youtube gems such as “James Brown Miso” and “The Johnny Cash Machine”. Let me know what you think and enjoy!

I know that April 2, 2011 in NYC is a big day for indie music, for it is the final farewell to the indie synth gods LCD Soundsystem. But for those of you who did not get tickets (duh) or don’t care for James Murphy and co, make your way over to Littlefield in Brooklyn to witness a great pairing of acts, The Stepkids and Emil & Friends. There will be lasers, guitar solos, synths and dancing. So please join us.
Follow @ASIANDAN and retweet the following:

Erol Alkan has been pumping out some amazing quality remixes lately. First with that fantastic remix of Tame Impalaand now this psychedelic journey of a remix for Connan Mockasin. I guess it is always a hit when Erol remixes an Aussie or Kiwi rock band.

Das Pop has been getting all mysterious with their viral The Black Juggler character which I assume is the title of their follow up to that over the top Pop album “Das Pop”. “The Game” is the first track to be heard off of this album – a tune that embraces all things 70s. It is a song that oozes strutting down the street swagger, it feels like a b-side by Queen that didn’t make the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. Love the Led Zeppelin phaser-ed out drums at the end.

Tonight Jamie xx will grace NYC with his thoughtful and nostalgic DJ sets as they span from post-dubstep to classic 90s house. And of course his amazing calypso-step track, “Far Nearer”. A track that has been making its rounds in various DJs sets. I did not realize the track was an 8 min track that just washes over you, I could even have it go on for longer. 2011 the year of #steeldrums.
I cannot to wait to hear “Far Nearer” played on a proper sound system. Hopefully he will drop some Burial. See you there tonight!
