Egyptian Hip Hop : Yoro Diallo

Egyptian Hip Hop debuts a second track from their upcoming LP “Good Don’t Sleep” entitled “Yoro Diallo”. It is a more straightforward and accessible tune than their first track “SYH”. Egyptian Hip Hop moves forward into a smooth jazz realm with “Yoro Diallo”, just imagine if Chick Corea jammed with Steely Dan in the late 80s – this would be a product of that session.

Egyptian Hip Hop : SYH

Egyptian Hip Hop is back with their first single in two years since their Hudson Mohawke produced EP, “Some Reptiles Grew Wings”. “SYH” is a tune that delves deeper into their world of synth-pop, this time a little darker but still just as catchy with their lofty vocals. Egyptian Hip Hop has teamed up with R&S Records to release their debut album “Good Don’t Sleep” which is out
October 21.

Egyptian Hip Hop & Hudson Mohawke

Egyptian Hip Hop, the band that seems to be filling in Late of The Pier’s shoes at the moment teams up with Hudson Mohawke for their new EP, “Some Reptiles Developed Wings” out on Moshi Moshi. This is yet another producer/DJ teaming up with a band to produced some fruitful sonic treats. Hud Mo takes a step back and really lets Egyptian Hip Hop’s sound and vibe shine rather than adding his touch and sound to their tracks, proving that he is really fits into his “Producer Shoes”. Check out two of Psycho-Delic-Tronic tunes from the EP below. Boogie.

EGYPTIAN HIP HOP

Egytian Hip Hop is a bunch of youngin’s from Manchester and Zarcorp’s latest release, Late of the Pier’s boutique label that has released Pink Stallone and other “weird” acts these past few years. At first listen of this Samuel Dust produce single “Heavenly” you can tell that they are definitely they are cut from the same DNA with their weird synth laden pop. Check out “Rad Pitt” and you can definitely hear some Cure in their music.

“Nifeo” a free form post punk exploratory jam featuring LA Priest aka Samuel Dust of Late of the Pier. An interesting piece in time that showcases what they are capable of. We shall see where Twenty-Ten takes these young men.

Also out March 1 on Phantasy Records is Late of the Pier’s new track “Best In the Class” an over the top weird prog pop track that I cannot wait for.
