A slow disco-burner reworking of the heavily guitar driven Air track “So Light is Her Footfall”. Not Breakbot’s most revolutionary or impressive sounding remixes but an overall great vibe and that slap bass tone is fantastic.

What a clash of the titans,Breakbot & Siriusmo – this remixes sounds nothing like either have produced before. A guitar based remix of a very soulful sounding track by the might Breakbot. These two should start a band or something with their immense talent. I feel that La Funk Mob will work wonders on this track with the tracks soulful vox – Zdar will strike again!

This new Breakbot tune has been making it rounds in the blogosphere, a track that was part of that Ed Banger Xmas Promo – definitely your typical Breakbot production style but with more of a Chromeo-esque synth pop vibe esp with the vocoder vox. I definitely see this whole disco synth pop sound being a big thing in Twenty-Ten with Classixx, Breakbot, Holy Ghost! and Chromeo leading the entire movement.

My intern has been hard at work scouring the webternet for some new music for you all, he stumbled upon this one on Breakbot’s Facebook Fan Page. I’m a big fan of his original track, it of course has that Breakbot vibe with a little Royksopp and a little Air, maybe because of the title has the name “Kelly” and “Robot”. If you guys don’t like this just blame it on my intern 🙂

Pete from Hey Champ just sent me over this new remix they just finished for their buddies, French Horn Rebellion. Hey Champ channels their french disco/house side and produces a track that Fred Falke, Alan Braxe, Allure, and Breakbot would be proud of or either upset about because a bunch of American’s are stealing their sound. Either way cheers boys!

My Asian Dan Intern, @samisateenager showed me Shazam the other day and I am quite impressed. An Australian DJ/Producer that was recently featured on Digitalism’s Kitsune Tabloid Mix as well as being used in that amazing Breakbot Disco Minimix. Check out “Luckier” a chilled out disco then “Pool Party 2008” a funky slapped out bass, banger.

“Shazam. I discovered this guy in Breakbot’s mini disco mix he uses “Luckier” as intro to the mix. Last month Shazam released his new EP entitled “Pool Party” including a remix from Rogerseventytwo. Allure was kind of enough to answer a few questions to give readers a peak into his musical mind. He is quite the classy young gentlemen who is trying to mix and merge the class and smoothness of 70s pop music and French culture with the modern electro sound that we all have come to love and enjoy.

Check out “Champagne” a track that reminds me of Breakbot especially because of that fantastic bass tone. Also the sound of the champagne popping and pouring out is a nice nod to Thomas Bangalter’s track, “Club Soda”.

Asian Dan Interview:

1. Who is Allure? How would describe your music?

I’m a 20 years old Parisian, in love with music since the youth.

Allure is an electronic music with pop influences. It takes french touch 1.0 and 2.0 codes, with pop arrangements and a pop way of composing, (particularly concerning harmony, which is essential to me) associated to a certain elegance and sensuality.

2. What are some of your influences? What was your first musical memory?

I have in one hand all my Pop influences (David Bowie, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Prince, The Alessi Brothers, America, Phoenix, Queen, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder and many more…), and on the other hand my electro french touch influences, especially influenced by Daft Punk and Justice.

I think that my first musical memory is an audio tape of Michael Jackson’s “Bad”.

3. I feel like you are bring the back class and attitude of Serge Gainsbourg in your music, as well as adding a real musical sensibility to electronic music like Breakbot, explain your musical conceptual and production process.

I see that you really have understood my music, it’s a pleasure! 😉
