Nickydigital.com Presents PRE PARTY JAMZ VOLUME 39: Congorock
I was so impressed with Congorock after I saw him open for MSTRKRFT back in October in Boston. So I am really excited about this mixtape that he crafted for Nickydigital.com, everyone check it out!

I just did a “party” search on my iTunes and grabbed the best ones who fitted the mood of the mix tape! The only one that doesn’t have party in the title its my remix of Romanthony‘s Never Fuck which is yet to be a Friday-night anthem.
I am just back from gigging in New York City so I wanted to put a classic disco Salsoul jam in the end. I <3 NY!

Japan’s own 80Kidz will be releasing their album This is My Shit April 15 with some guest appearances from Autokratz, Hey Champ’s Saam as well as The Shoes on this track “Frankie”. What y’all think of this tune?

My new Asian Dan intern, @samisateenager suggested that I check out BMX. I’ll let Sam introduce you all to them. BMX is good summer music, definitely feel-good tunes you can just put on and chill in the sun.

Lifelike works his usual production skills on this track. He has definitely grown and found his sound, that Yazoo/80s synth sound. I dig it but not his best remix.

James Yuill is a British Folktronic musician that shares a deep love for Sufjan Stevens, Nick Drake, Radiohead as well as all the bang-tastic bloghaus producers/DJs, quite an indietastic package. I enjoy his cover of Radiohead’s “Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box”. The first time I heard James Yuill on A-Trak’s Infinity +1 mixtape, the very last track, a re-edit by Prins Thomas of “This Sweet Love”, a very introspective and chill way to end a mix. James Yuill will be opening for the sold out Phoenix showat Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, 4.23.2009 in London.
