A 90s rave-tastic/Windows 95 screensaver looking video for an old school sounding track.

I dunno how to feel about this tune, the first single off of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. It’s kind of mediocre pop for the Phoenix boys. I want EPIC BIG POP!

Vicarious Bliss showcases the unlike and amazing musically complex side of Ed Banger Records with this symphonic reworking of Krazy Baldhead’s new track “Sweet Night” off The B-Suite, out April 6 on Ed Banger. This track sounds like Sigur Ros/The Album meets Boards of Canada. Krazy Badlhead and Vicarious Bliss are the hidden gems of Ed Banger. 2009 should be an interesting/awesome year for Ed Banger especially with SebastiAn’s LIVE SET debuting this summer!

Krazy Baldhead – Sweet Night (Vicarious Bliss Psychebabble Rework)

DJ Mehdi posted this track on Le Cool Cats Blog.
A few words from Vicarious Bliss on the reworking:
“It’s not really Vicarious Bliss (or is it ?!) but rather just something that I did for fun to mess around with orchestrations and backwards guitars and violins and chocolate muffins and my teddy-bear, with the intention of trying to annoy cousin Babble (it worked, kind of, but we still talk…). Some of you know that I sometimes like to ‘get the f**king violins out’, kind of like on the reworks I’ve done for Cazals on Kitsuné 5 and the second Ladytron ‘Softpower’ remix in the past. So, no, you can’t dance to it. You can’t even tap your toe to it. But that’s not the point. Is it?”

Little Boots – New In Town (Fred Falke Remix)

I totally have a huge crush on Little Boots. She is so cute. AND she makes good music?! ::swoon:: You are my dream girl, too bad you live across the sea. Anyways Fred Falke works his remixing magic on this new Little Boots track “New in Town”, a little indie sounding for Mr. Falke but still good.

Cheers, Disco Dust

Breakbot crafts this slick disco mini mix, packing it full of all the classic French dance tracks as well the smoothest disco around. I love Breakbot.

What a classic and about time pairing, Daft Punk, Disney and Tron, three pop culture institutions that evoke such nostalgia, childhood imagination and glee in everyone that experiences them. I have a feeling that the score is going to sound like their b-side track from Daft Club, “Ouverture”, a 70s tinged track that sounds like they are paying homage to Wendy Carlos, the famous organist/synthist that provided noises for The Shining and the score for the original Tron.

Fantastic mix by Mattie Safer of The Rapture for the French radio station Le Mouv. He opens up with Laidback Luke and Diplo’s collaboration, “Hey”, I love it. I wonder what The Rapture boys are up to, when is the new album coming out

Here is some Boston on Cambridge remix/revision/reworking action. Emil & Friends provide their take on Passion Pit’s Blogosphere banger, “Sleepyhead”. I like this a lot more than the PP version. Time to watch this track climb the Hypemachine ranks. Emil & Friend’s version of “Electric Feel” is already at 22!
