Breakbot – Disco Mini Mix – Dance on Glass Mix 03
What a classic and about time pairing, Daft Punk, Disney and Tron, three pop culture institutions that evoke such nostalgia, childhood imagination and glee in everyone that experiences them. I have a feeling that the score is going to sound like their b-side track from Daft Club, “Ouverture”, a 70s tinged track that sounds like they are paying homage to Wendy Carlos, the famous organist/synthist that provided noises for The Shining and the score for the original Tron.

Here is some Boston on Cambridge remix/revision/reworking action. Emil & Friends provide their take on Passion Pit’s Blogosphere banger, “Sleepyhead”. I like this a lot more than the PP version. Time to watch this track climb the Hypemachine ranks. Emil & Friend’s version of “Electric Feel” is already at 22!

ARON is a London based producer and DJ. He crafted this fantastic minimix for Asian Dan. Check that and some of his tracks. His productions have a 8-bit vibe to them but not in a tacky novelty way. They kind of remind me of LA Priest.

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix will be out May 25 in Europe and out the 26th surprisingly on Glassnote in the US, a tiny indie label. The first single will be “Lisztomania” Tracklist below, looks like no “Twenty-One One Zero”, let’s hope there are more epic tracks like that on the album.
