Mount Kimbie announces their sophomore LP entitled “Cold Spring Fault Less Youth” out May 28 on Warp Records. It features 2 collaborations with King Krule, a very fitting collaboration for their brand of introspective electronic music. Download a new track titled “Made To Stray” for free here.
Jamie Lidell unleashes his full on vision of Future Pop with “You Naked” off his upcoming self-tittled album on Warp Records. Listen to “What A Shame” off of the same release and the Tom Waits meets Outakast “why_ya_why”.
Jamie Lidell returns with his self-titled album on February 19, “What A Shame” is the first we hear of Jamie Lidell’s latest sound. It is a metallic sounding electronic funk RnB track that Jamie says pulls from Mtume, Cameo, New Jack Swing, Bobby Brown and George Clinton but I definitely hear Jamie pulling sonic inspiration from his contemporaries such as Rustie. I am definitely intrigued how Jamie taps back into his electronic roots while still crafting well written and produced songs on this new album.

HudMo and Lunice reveal previews of their highly anticipated collaboration, TNGHT whose EP will be out July 23/24 via Warp and Lucky Me Records. It is quite a massive collection of tunes that will hopefully change up the Hip-Hop/RnB/Pop game.
Hudson Mohawke and Lunice announce officially that their meeting of the minds, TNGHT will release their debut single July through Warp x LuckyMe Records. Massive choonsz.
Clark is on another level with his latest release “Iradelphic”. Warp Records proves that they can find some of the finest musical talent out today and Clark is that intersection of all they are known for on their fine musical roster. Imagine if Bibio, Boards of Canada and Rustie all were wrangled into Clark’s studio for an intense month session. “Iradelphic” would be the product of that session. There is everything from pristine production, candid guitar performances, warm analog synths to well crafted songs. This is the album of 2012 that I have been waiting for.
CANT is the baby of Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor. It is a Terrible Records Family affair as George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow helps out on the album and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes plays in the live rendition of CANT. “Dreams Come True” is out 9.13.2011 on Terrible Records/Warp Records. It is a collection of tunes that are a totally different and refreshing listen compared to the verbose and intricate music of Grizzly Bear. The music feels like if Vincent Gallo’s music was remixed by his Warp Records label mates. Once again Warp Records wins me over. This album will be in heavy rotation this Fall for me #AutumnalTones
Listen to “Believe” a slowburner of a tune full of dirty bass and “Answer” with its swarming dark R’n’B vibes.
Rustie is going to flip the entire electronic music scene on its head with his album “Glass Sword”. It is pure hypersonic bliss that is set to shoot all of our minds and feet into hyperdrive. Listen to the lightspeed boogie track that is “All Nite” off of “Glass Sword” which is out on Warp Records, 10.11.2011
