So I am in Toronto for the summer so be on the look for Asian Dan if you are in T-Dot. In honor of my new Canadian residency here are some great Torontonian producers. Any Toronto based DJs/producers wanna hangout? Hit me up.

Usher – Love in This Club (MSTRKRFT Remix)
Did they fix it or make it better? And is it blasphemous that they sampled Layla?
Oh and a JFK x Bob Rifo (The Bloody Beetroots) Collaboration is in the works :)!!!!!

Jesse McCartney x Tricky x The-Dream x MSTRKRFT

What an all-star Production team. So did MSTRKRFT “fix or remix” the track?

Jesse McCarntney – Leavin’ (MSTKRFT Remix)
Jesse McCartney Myspace

“Leavin’, produced by Tricky and The-Dream, the team behind Rihanna’s Umbrella, marks a distinct change in direction for Jesse. A hook laden electronic delight, the song sounds at home in the stable of pop while dipping its toes firmly in urban waters. The track is bound to set airwaves alight across the UK and, with mixes by MSTRKRFT, is poised to become the soundtrack to the dance floor this spring.”

MSTRKRT, The Bloody Beetroots, LA Riots & Lazaro Casanova – Studio B – Brooklyn- 3.7.2008

The Bloody Beetroots stole the show friday night at Studio B in Brooklyn, their 2nd show in NYC. Lazaro Cassanova opened the set and held his own before the Bloody Beetroots killed it. The Beetroots opened with The Back to the Future Theme into their Timbaland remix of Miscommunication. From then on they just kept dropping the heaviest tracks, even heavier than some of the stuff MSTRKRFT dropped the last time I saw them. Highlight tracks were, the Goose remix of the Scissor Sisters, The BB remix of Goose’s Black Gloves, and an insane remix of Pharoahe Monch’s Simon Says. Oh and the Bloody Beetroots have amazing dance moves for every synth sound in the tracks they spun. What a wild duo.

LA Riots were up and it was only one of the guys but he held his own and prepared the crowd for MSTRKRFT’s Crown Royal fueled set. MSTRKRFT’s first half of their set was amazing, full of new tracks that will most likely be on their second LP, including VUVUVU. The NYC Fire Marshall came and were going to shut down the party because the place was packed out. Half way through their set Armand Van Helden, A-Trak and P-Thugg from Chromeo made their appearance onstage just feeling the music. It was a star studded event. I cannot wait for The Bloody Beetroot’s album/EP/singles and MSTRKRFT’s upcoming LP it is going to be insane.

The Bloody Beetroots – We Are From Venice (La Serenissima)

The long awaited cover/remix of Rondo Veneziano’s track La Serenissima by Italy’s own The Bloody Beetroots. La Serenissima is a track favored by both Justice and Daft Punk.
