Cécile & Venice – Rimmel

Here is that collaboration Venice was talking about in this Asian Dan Interview from about a year ago. This is just a fun tune, made by some fun Italian guys that are showing that Italy has more than just the bangers. And this music video just makes the tune even more fun. Fun, fun, fun for all!

The Bloody Beetroots “Romborama” 8.25.2009

Dim Mak Presents August 25, 2009, The Bloody Beetroots “Romborama” – a 20 track magnum opus crafted by Mr. Bob Rifo & Tommy Tea. An album that comes at you hard and spans numerous genres. An album that says fuck you to everyone. Check out this tune featuring a fellow Italian, Cecile – a dark and trippy tune that takes you on a journey through the Beetroots’ more contemplative and musical side while still retaining that split at the seams energy. Venice is a mysterious Italian producer that is a modern day embodiment of all the Italian musical traditions ranging from Baroque music to Italo Disco with just the right amount of banger-ness. Venice is also a big collaborator with Cécile. Peep R0LL. Rondo Veneziano would be proud.

Italy’s own Cécile has released two new tracks into the blogosphere. Very old school disco vibe, channeling his inner Moroder. I was expecting him to come out with something heavier since he has been working with Bob from The Bloody Beetroots. Look out for his EP coming soon and a remix of Dim Mak Records’S.P.A. with The Bloody Beetroots

The other day my boy NT89(Check out his new track Booster!) was telling me about his fellow Italian DJ/producer, Cécile. I checked him out and really like his production style and musicality. I feel he is going to be doing some interesting things in the future so stay tuned.

This track reminds me of Danger meets Kavinsky, the drums sound amazing on this track.

Think the French Touch sound and vibe meets Venetian Snare:
