FLAIRS

Flairs is the solo projects from the ultimate bass player who played with at least a dozen reputed bands & artists, Anyhow for his new music outfit he got Alavi, Etienne De Crecy, 25 Hours A Day, Cosmo Vitelli, Bogus, Alex Gopher, & Benjamin Theves all involved & It doesn’t stop there.. Guess who’s directing the video?? Non other than the Mtv award winners behind Justice’s ‘D.A.N.C.E’ & Kanye’s ‘Good Life’, Jonas & Francois who have been working in the past months on a 2500 hand drawn black & white frames of the psychedelic Walt Disney on acid video for his first single ‘Better Than Prince’.

Flairs – Truckers Delight
Live drums were recorded by Cosmo Vitelli but played by Bogus.

Jamie Lidell – Figure Me Out

Jamie Lidell – Figured Me Out (Alt. Version)
Cheers, Fluo Kids

Jamie Lidell is bringing the heavy funk this time. Prince would be proud. The verse of this track is so tight, that pop of the snare just makes you jump. I dig this track more than that track that Warp Records posted on youtube. Jamie Lidell’s crazy looping program that he uses live to record his beatboxing, harmonies and other crazy vocal parts were all programmed and created by him in Max/Msp. Jonny Greenwood also uses Max/Msp to create custom glitched out guitar effects. The creator of Max/Msp & Cycling 74 is also the same guy that created the Jazzmutant Lemur Pad.

DAFT PUNK x KANYE WEST LIVE @ THE 50th GRAMMYS – VIDEO & AUDIO

Of course Kanye was going to doing something crazy. LED blinder glasses and a pyramid in the background, Daft Punk had to be there. And to all the haters that said Daft Punk doesn’t do anything or play anything, The Grammys decided to have a close up of them playing with their cracked out Ableton setup with 4 Jazzmutant Lemur Pads.

Steve Aoki & the Cobrasnake x Roc Star Crew

Steve Aoki and The Cobrasnake have landed in Japan, the hippest place on earth. Let’s see if they can compete with the uber-coolnes of the Dex Pistols and the Roc Star Crew. I’m sure Steve Aoki’s Japanese instinct will kick in.

What’s up with the lame French electronic t-shirt collaborations? Justice and Daft Punk just stick to music.
