RAMPAGE is a Chicago based DJ/Producer that is bringing back some attitude and energy back into the Chicago scene. I love that “organ” synth sound, reminds me of Robin S’ “Show Me Love”.

Mayer Hawthrone cleans up quite well. This tune is a lot more polished and has that modernized R&B sound, not as gritty as “Just Ain’t Gonna Work Out” but still as good. Stones Throw can do no wrong.

Das Glow always produces solid tracks, I have always been a big fan of “Sunburnt”. “I Want to Wake Up With You” is very smooth filter-house track with a horn sample that is super slick, I guess it is because he released this on Vulture Music, Alan Braxe’s label, so some of his influence rubbed off on this track.

Here is the beginning of Phoenix’s viral, secret, social networking, marketing scheme by posting some demos and outtakes that did not make it to the already awesome Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Today they posted a demo version of Lisztomania with just vox and guitar and a tweeked out digital synth outro that I feel should have made it onto the album somewhere. So stay tuned and watch out for what password gains you access to these tracks.
