I cannot stop listening to this mix by Fantastic Mr Fox – amazing tracklist and overall vibe. You can’t go wrong with all those Jamie XX tracks especially “Far Nearer” (I need this track!) as well as some Gold Panda and quite an amazing remix of Usher “Nice & Slow”.
Lucky Shiner is the full length album by the stellar, Gold Panda. An introspective and delicate producer whose music is the perfect introduction to Fall. Lovely autumnal tones that sooth heart and soul. “Same Dream China” is a hypnotic track that is a nod to Philip Glass/Steve Reich with its moving marimba melodies while incorporating lo-fi kyotos with some raw Bibio-esque sounding beats. Gold Panda’s “Snow & Taxis” is a delicately crafted song that conjures introspective and contemplative thoughts a la Mount Kimbie/Burial/Four Tet but in a very uplifting and positive way with its House-y beats and sparkling glockenspiel. This is a perfect tune to listen to as the summer winds down and the crisp autumn air rolls in.
