Nautic : Fixxx

Nautic is the brain child of Buillion and Tic from Young Turks which explores the softer pop side of Bullion’s production and songwriting style. The touch of female vocals brings a lovely touch to Bullion music sense of appeal. Listen to “Fixxx” and “Fresh Eyes” below and buy the two tracks over at deekrecordings.bandcamp.com care of Deek Recordings.

John Talabot x Bullion

Bullion transforms John Talabot’s “Destiny” into a jittery 8-bit synth propelled dance track that is part Talking Heads and part New Order especially during the mantra like chorus with its guitar and bass work.

Bullion : It’s All in Sound

Bullion is fully embracing his Malcolm McLaren/Brian Eno/David Sylvian/David Byrne on his next EP “Love Me Oh Please Love Me”. The first tune “It’s All in Sound” is a straight up nod to those weird-pop guru’s of the 80s. The “Love Me Oh Please Love Me” EP is out May 5

Bullion : Say Arr Ee

Bullion is set to release a new single “”Say Arr Ee” at the end of the month. He steps into a swirling world of sounds that are reminiscent of David Sylvian, Robert Fripp, Brian Eno & David Byrne work. Definitely a refreshing and interesting step for Bullion. Just let the sax solo wash over your body…

“Say Arr Ee / What Does She Know” is out on 30th January on R&S Records.

Lee Scratch Perry x Bullion

Bullion dives into Malcolm McLaren world with his remix of the iconic Lee Scratch Perry. In a matter of 4 mins Bullion is able to take Lee Scratch Perry’s tune “Straight Jacketed” on a sonic journey as it is deconstructed and pieced back together in a reverb soaked groove. Definitely an appropriate pairing for musical minds.

Bullion – Say Goodbye to What

Bullion’s “Young Heartache” EP was one of the most refreshing and most listened to pieces of music in 2009 for me. The way Bullion samples classic 60s tracks and recontextualizes them into hypnotic beats and grooves is quite a talent and he returns with “Say Goodbye to What” – a psycho-delic revisioning of who knows what sample, it is just some feel good stuff.
