Oslo’s own Cashmere Cat injects his RnB production style with all the right elements of “Trap” into this fantastic remix of Feadz & Kito’s “Wettex”. Just vibe with it.
Nautic is the brain child of Buillion and Tic from Young Turks which explores the softer pop side of Bullion’s production and songwriting style. The touch of female vocals brings a lovely touch to Bullion music sense of appeal. Listen to “Fixxx” and “Fresh Eyes” below and buy the two tracks over at deekrecordings.bandcamp.com care of Deek Recordings.
Jimmy Edgar and Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum teamed up to form the duo JETS, who recently released their collab EP on Leisure System. FACT Magazine’s latest mix is from the duo who packs in a ton of unreleased material (including a Machinedrum x Prefuse 73 collab) into this 60+ minute mix for a hypothetical JETS’ Radio station that has hijacked your wi-fi/radio waves. So prep yourself for some serious vibes.
Bibio performs an epic deconstruction then reconstruction of his tunes “Sugarette” and “Fire Ant” live at the Garage in London back in 2011. Now we just need him to do a full on tour.
Star Slinger gives a proper 2-Step/UK edit to Kendrick Lamar “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe”, prepping the chilled out vibe for the dancefloor. Bish, don’t kill my vibe.
A trippy visual accompaniment for a deep futuristic RnB tinged take of Riton’s “One Night Stand” with the help of Canblaster and Jay Norton all under the moniker of Symphony Hall
Jamie Lidell returns with his self-titled album on February 19, “What A Shame” is the first we hear of Jamie Lidell’s latest sound. It is a metallic sounding electronic funk RnB track that Jamie says pulls from Mtume, Cameo, New Jack Swing, Bobby Brown and George Clinton but I definitely hear Jamie pulling sonic inspiration from his contemporaries such as Rustie. I am definitely intrigued how Jamie taps back into his electronic roots while still crafting well written and produced songs on this new album.
