Danny L. Harle : Ashes of Love (feat. Caroline Polachek)
Big sugary hyper pop.
The moody brother duo, inc. returns with folky western RnB track, “The Wheel” – a nice direction for the two. Just the right amount of noodling and jamming to showcase their chops as producers, writers and musicians.
Ah there you are Radiohead. Their initial single to lead the campaign felt a bit underwhelming. Love that Nils Frahm sounding piano with classic Thom Yorke crooning.
A stripped down, moody and honest track “Low Key” brings the RnB game into a place where all you need is a guitar and voice to really tell how you feel.
Boys Noize steps up to put a twist on a creating a more straightforward electronic pop track, showing off a more subtle and delicate side to his production styling. A tasteful and musical way to cut through the noisy DJ/Producer space and prove that he has many sides.
I have always loved Alexis Taylor’s voice and sense of melody. Hot Chip has always been his most popular project but I loved him the most with his experimental pop band, About Group. His latest solo track “I’m Ready” finds him channeling Arthur Russell and Harry Nilsson in the best ways possible.
