My Asian Dan Intern, @samisateenager showed me Shazam the other day and I am quite impressed. An Australian DJ/Producer that was recently featured on Digitalism’s Kitsune Tabloid Mix as well as being used in that amazing Breakbot Disco Minimix. Check out “Luckier” a chilled out disco then “Pool Party 2008” a funky slapped out bass, banger.

Once again, an irrelevant artist trying to make a comeback by partnering up with some of the hip guys of the moment. Oh I love how the music industry works. Justice is definitely channeling some of Stevie Wonder in this track. Still though..a big HUH?! from me. C’mon Justice just make some new original stuff.

WOW. Speechless. Will 2009 be the year of Daft Punk?! Checkout Glenjamn’s sick videos from last night. So Thomas’ only did a 3 song set, “Rollin’ & Scratchin'”, DJ Mehdi’s “Signatune”, & Prince’s “Raspberry Beret”. STILL EPIC!!

Little Boots covering The Virgins produced by Lord Skywave, Simon Lord of The Black Ghosts and Simian. This is quite an indie-tastic collaboration, in theory this track should be awesome but it just falls short, it is lacking something. Either way I still heart Little Boots.

I love how Krautrock this track sounds at first, The swirling synth swells, the pedaling bass line and the motoring drum part, Neu! and Kraftwerk would be proud. Then the track kicks into its full fledged disco, dance goodness. And then the bridge just filters out and melts away then trickles back into its full fidelity. I can’t wait for Mr. Falke’s reworking of the already catchy “Two Weeks” by Grizzly Bear. Cheers, Mr. Falke.
