Thundercat and Flying Lotus team up to produce a full out summer boogie jam “Oh Sheit It’s X”. It is a tune ready for the pure vibes, sunshine and warmth we are all eagerly waiting for.

Essex based Lapalux is prepping for his full length release on Brainfeeder this March entitled “Nostalchic”. “Guuurl” is the first single off the LP and showcases Lapalux’s dense and hazy production style as it delves deep into a lazy 89 bpm house vibe.

Flying Lotus lends his hands to his right-hand man, Thundercat for this 30 min mix of Thundercat tracks in honor of “The Golden Age of Apocalypse” which is out 8.30.2011 on Brainfeeder. This is 30 mins of pure #summervibes – dive in y’all.

Thundercat is proving to be quite the versatile musician – bass player extraordinaire, songwriter and vocalist. Thundercat is showing that he is part Squarepusher, part The-Dream, and part George Benson sprinkled with Flying Lotus’ magic dust/DMT.

Thundercat is the man behind the massive bass playing on Flying Lotus’ “Cosmogramma” as well as being a session player that has sat in with Erykah Badu and Snoop. Flying Lotus has now taken him under his wing and produced his solo album coming out on Brainfeeder soon. “For Love I Come” is the first track we get to hear off the album – it is a space -jazz-soul cover of George Duke’s “For Love I Come” swimming in a sea of Fender Rhodes and slick bass-playing.

Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Records is re-releasing the legendary Oizo’s Moustache (Half A Scissor) on vinyl on 1.10.2011 – quite an epic pairing for out-there minds. Every time I have seen Fly Lo live/DJ last year, 2010 and he dropped his edit of “Stunt” I would always freakout, it is such a sinister re-working of an already sinister bassline.
