GLOVES – Too Much To Dream
Super smooth and 80s – courtesy of Australia’s own Gloves. Daft Punk & C.o would be proud.

Paul is some French bro – channeling Lifelike, bits of Kavinsky and Jan Hammer. What y’all think?

“‘Who’s There?’ is finally out after weeks of support from Crookers, Brodinski, Sinden, A-Trak and more. Remixes by Style of Eye, L-Vis 1990, In Flagranti and Doorly serve to make this one of the most exciting packages of the year so far, topped off with ghostly artwork by Fergadelic from Tonite. Brooklyn duo In Flagranti take the track to the disco dancefloor and back, sashaying through a bevy of samples, cowbells and slap bass. This is big stuff.”

Miike Snow is officially on my top 3 albums list of 2009. Check out this remix by Mr. Falke, usual production style – simple, lofty disco.

Ever since I discovered Mayer Hawthorne last fall I have been on a look out for when this white boy was going to release an album. Somehow he is able to turn what should be just a novelty act into an honest and respectable homage to soul. Dig it.

This is the most interesting remix pairing I have seen and heard in quite a while thanks to Scion A/V. Japan’s notorious noise rock band, Boris and the prolific Todd Edwards. I dunno how this collaboration came about but I am definitely intrigued. I wonder how Todd Edwards felt when he got the stems for the song. Give the original a listen here. The remix is your usual Todd Edwards production style.

Lovin’ this new tune by Hudson Mohawke. Just throw some female vox and some dude rapping and it is a modern hip hop/RnB tune ready for the radio. I love the sound of the drums and the the sitar.
