So I got this email from Emil & Friends back in November but never checked out the tracks attached. Waves At Night and Hyperbole both posted tracks by Emil & Friends recently. I am quite impressed and am going to jump on the bandwagon. They have a MGMT vibe hence the “Electric Feel” Cover/Remix meets blogosphere’s favorites, Passion Pit, but better. I checked out their EP, Downed Economy and am really loving it. Check out the title track “Downed Economy” which has this slick electro vibe. Other tracks on the EP remind me of old John Frusciante. I’m gonna be watching out for these guys this year

In case you are not privy to the superstardom that is Emile Hirsch here’s a brief bio. As a kid he attended the The Hamilton Academy of Music and The Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Now he is often seen singing karaoke alongside Lindsay Lohan, Bo Barrett, Michelle Rodriguez, Kellan Rhude and Nicole Richie at Beverly Hills hot spot “Guys”.

I guess everyone wants some of the Beetroots’ magical remix touch from Pink, Tiga, and The All-American Rejects. Interesting and different sound for the Bloody Beetroots. I like. So many new tracks by The Bloody Beetroots! I want to hear the Mind Dimension Remix!

Glenjamn captured Fake Blood’s magic with his Ninja Vid skills. Fake Blood is using 2 CDJ’s and Serato, quite an impressive DJ setup for one man. His little live edit of Tiga’s Mind Dimension is great which segues into his own edit of Soulwax’s version of Daft Punk’s Teachers. He cuts up the syllables in Teachers to “say” Fake Blood like he does in all his remixes/edits. So great. I can’t wait to hear more of Fake Blood in 2009, I can’t believe I just got into him these past few weeks. Better now then never.

Lifelike gets into the holiday spirit with this remix of Wham!’s “Last Christmas”. Lifelike should have remixed Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmas Time”, my favorite Xmas song, I love the intro synth part.
