I have always loved Alexis Taylor’s voice and sense of melody. Hot Chip has always been his most popular project but I loved him the most with his experimental pop band, About Group. His latest solo track “I’m Ready” finds him channeling Arthur Russell and Harry Nilsson in the best ways possible.
Andy Stott steps into Jam City’s lane with this collision of metallic percussion melted together with slick synth pads. “Too Many Voices” is out today and is definitely worth a listen. Watch the video for “Butterflies” below which features some crooning Junior Boys vocals.
